Ge You, Huang Xiaoming to star in 'Zhao's Orphan'

Director Chen Kaige's upcoming historical film, "Zhao's Orphan," will star A-list Chinese actors Ge You and Huang Xiaoming, the Shanghai-based Daily News reports.
Veteran star Ge You will take on the lead role of Cheng Ying. The rural doctor sacrificed his own son to save the newborn baby of Zhao Dun, the chancellor of the Jin Kingdom (679 B.C. -403 B.C.) whose whole family is executed because of political slander.
Rising star Huang Xiaoming will play the grown-up orphan of Zhao, who finally avenges his family.
The production team is in negotiations to cast South Korean stars Jang Dong-gun and Song Hye-kyo, the report said.
"A Simple Noodle Story" star Sun Honglei is also likely to join the cast, according to earlier reports.
The filming is expected to start in March.
