Organizers of the annual Art Beijing contemporary art fair are joining hands with electronics giant Samsung to launch an exhibition that aims to showcase artwork through high technology.

The exhibition, which will last for five days beginning on Thursday at Beijing's The Place mall, aims to juxtapose art and technologies with the idea of bringing art into daily life, a press release for the event says.

Visitors will be able to appreciate works of video artists in 3-D with the help of Samsung's 3-D HDTV.

The exhibition will be open free of charge.

The event is a warm-up to the annual Art Beijing contemporary art fair, a major occasion for China's contemporary artists.

This year's Art Beijing runs from April 29 to May 2, and will be participated in by more than 70 art galleries from 18 countries and regions, according to the organizers.
