The film is a sequel to the TV drama of the same name, which was shot and became popular a decade ago and helped establish a group of actors as stars. The original cast is reuniting for the film adaptation, which tells what happens when the main characters get back together after 10 years apart.
During the conference, director Zhang Yibai stated that he wanted to shoot the movie not only to remember good times, but also to show its development to the audience.
Zhang said that he fell in love with the script when he first read it. Besides the movie, he is also planning to remake the TV drama and publish a novel of the same name.
Filming will start by the end of May, and it's due to be released next Valentine's Day.
