Venezuelan film Brother by director Marcel Rasquin on Saturday took away the best film prize "Golden George" of the 32nd Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF).

The film as Rasquin's feature debut that beat 16 other movies participating in the main competition sector, tells the story of two young football players in a Venezuelan slum, said the RIA Novosti news agency.

According to the official website of the movie gala, the special jury prize "Silver George" went to the Albanian, a feature jointly developed by Germany and Albania, while Polish Jan Kidawa-Blonski was awarded the best director for his Little Rose.

Nik Xhelilaj was declared as the best actor for his performance in the Albanian, while the best actress award went to Vilma Cibulkova.

The 32nd MIFF opened last Thursday night at Moscow Pushkinsky cinema-hall, with the participation of more than 100 movies from Russia, Germany, Spain among other countries.
