Chinese historical film "The 1911 Revolution" (Mandarin: Xin Hai Ge Ming) will hold a ceremony to mark the start of filming during this year's Changchun Film Festival in August, and is set for release before September next year to mark the 100 Anniversary of the 1911 revolution, the Guangzhou Daily reports.

It has gathered more than 70 well-known Chinese actors to star in the film. Zhao Wenxuan will act as Sun Yat-sen for the fifth time. He believes that this time he would be more suitable to portray Sun, because of age issues in the past.

Sun Honglei, Sun Chun and actress Jiang Wenli will respectively play the roles of revolutionary leader Huang Xing, Warlord Yuan Shikai and Honorary President of the People's Republic of China Soong Ching-ling.

It will be directed by Chinese director and photographer Zhang Li, who has specialized historical and military dramas in recent years. Screenwriters Wang Xingdong and Chen Baoguang will write the screenplay.

Wang Zhebin serves as the producer of the film, which will be budgeted at over one hundred million yuan and will be produced by 26 companies, including Changchun Film Group Corporation and Shanghai Film Group Corporation.
