Many entertainment and sports celebrities attended the "More Love" charity auction banquet at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing on Sunday, Sina.com.cn reports.

Entertainers such as Zhang Ziyi, Chyi Chin, Huang Xiaoming and Jiang Wenli and sports stars such as Deng Yaping, Shen Xue, Zhao Hongbo and Pau Gasol attended the event. Some of the entertainers gave performances, while Zhang, Pau, and actor Guo Degang served as auctioneers.

The "More Love" charity auction banquet was held by Shanghai More Love Foundation and the Beijing Disabled Persons Welfare Foundation to raise money for teachers who serve schools in impoverished areas of the country and educational projects that benefit poor children.

The banquet raised 7.9 million yuan (1.2 million U.S. dollars).
