If You Are the One sequel in theaters Dec. 22

Two years after the release of Feng Xiaogang's film "If You Are the One" ("Fei Cheng Wu Rao"), its sequel is slated to hit Chinese cinemas on December 22, Huayi Brothers announced.

The 2008 romantic comedy features box-office favorite Ge You playing a middle-aged man searching for true love. It raked in 325 million yuan (US$48.9 million), dominating the Chinese box office of that year.
In the sequel, Ge You and his on-screen lover Shu Qi are joined by Sun Honglei, Yao Chen and An Yixuan (a.k.a. Ann).
The release of "If You Are the One 2" is during the New Year season, in line with a number of other long-awaited releases such as Jiang Wen's "Let the Bullets Fly" ("Rang Zidan Fei") on Dec. 16 and Chen Kaige's "Sacrifice" ("Zhao Shi Gu'er") on Dec. 18.
