Taiwan entertainer Barbie Hsu has confirmed rumors about her new relationship with mainland restaurateur Wang Xiaofei.
The lovebirds were spotted holding hands at an airport in Shanghai on Friday, October 29, 2010. Wang was seen wearing a ring on his left ring finger.
Later in the day, the two announced their engagement on their respective microblogs.
Hsu wrote, "I knew he was the one when I saw him for the first time. ...We got engaged on our fourth date."
Wang wrote that the decision was not made on impulse.
News broke out earlier in the week that Hsu and Wang got engaged after dating each other for less than a month.
Thirty-four-year-old Hsu is a singer, actress and TV host. Her latest film is John Woo's "Reign of Assassins". Previously, she was romantically involved with actors Blue Lan and Vic Chou.
Wang, who is five years younger than Hsu, is executive director of South Beauty, a high-end restaurant chain in China. He is the only son of the company's founder and president, Zhang Lan. Wang had just ended a relationship with actress Zhang Yuqi.
