Taiwanese actress-singer Barbie Hsu has been gaining great media attention of late since her sudden engagement with mainland tycoon Wang Xiaofei. As the image spokeswoman of Swiss watch-manufacturer Tissot, she appeared at a press conference at Oriental Plaza in Beijing Wednesday, introducing the brand's New Year product, the newest member of the Lady Heart series (xinyuan in Chinese), and sharing with reporters her New Year wishes, mainly about her upcoming wedding and feelings for Wang.
While declining to reveal wedding details, Hsu admitted that it was not far away from the Chinese New Year. "My wish for the New Year is that a new member will be welcomed to my family," she said, adding that the wedding is currently under preparation, but the most difficult part is to find a location convenient for relatives and friends from both Taiwan and the Chinese mainland.
During the press conference, Hsu introduced the New Year's edition of Tissot's Lady Heart series, which came onto the market in mid-2010 and soon became a favorite with female consumers for their compact style and elegant designs. According to Hsu, the New Year edition adds red, embodying a "strong sense of happiness and celebration," while also reflecting the straightforwardness and confidence of modern women.
