Several collections from the Forbidden City will be on exhibit for the first time ever at the Louvre. From September to November, visitors will be able to catch cultural relics from the court lives of the Ming and Qing dynasties.
"This exhibition is an epoch-making event," said Li Ji, executive vice president of the Palace Museum, which oversees the collections of artwork and artifacts in the Forbidden City, as well as the Forbidden City itself.
The Louvre exhibition will also include the portraits and thrones of the emperors who lived in the Forbidden City.
