Actor turned politician, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is committed to reprise his role in a new Terminator film. The governor became an established Hollywood actor after portraying a machine cyborg in the previous Terminator films.

Creative Arts Agency, Schwarzenegger's talent agency, is reportedly proposing the project all over Hollywood. Several prominent Hollywood studios are considering taking on the project including Sony, Lionsgate and Universal.

According to Deadline, there is currently no screenwriter attached to the film. It is unclear whether James Cameron, who wrote and directed the first film, would also be involved in the project.

Reuters claims Schwarzenegger made an announcement in February saying he was ready to return to acting. The former actor took a break to serve as California's Republican governor beginning in 2003.

Schwarzenegger also has plans to create a television comic series that will play off his political nickname "The Governator."
