Yang Lan's new biography One Question, One World (Jiangsu People's Publishing House, 2011) traces her life back to the very beginning as a CCTV anchor 20 years ago. It tells readers a true version of Yang Lan and how the world has changed over the past years through her eyes.

The book is brimming with interviews with movers and shakers including Henry Kissinger, Tony Blair and Jack Welch and more than 100 photos. It is also full of anecdotes of her encounters with these top-notch figures, many of them revealed to the public for the first time.

In the book, readers can find out how Yang started work as an anchor, why she quit and went oversees to study; how she came back hometo start her own business. Readers can also find another side of Yang, a mother of two children.

"The book is a summary of my own reflections of my work and life for the past 20 years, what I have achieved, my regrets and mostly importantly, every detail of my joy and sorrow," Yang said.
