It tells a story of a man, who has been ripped off his roots deep in the soil, witnessing the fast change of the world and then fading away. Saadet goes to Macedonia from Istanbul with her children to attend the circumcision feast of her son Orhan as well as visit her father Sabanaga and mother Mamo. As bad luck would have it, Mamo dies in an accident. Saadet persuades Sabanaga to come to Istanbul with a heavy heart as he does not want to go at all.
