The Southern People's Weekly has announced its list of the top 50 charming people for 2011. Chinese actor Wang Qianyuan, the Best Actor winner at the 23rd Tokyo International Film Festival has been short-listed, according to a report from mtime.com.

As a graduate from the Central Academy of Drama, Wang Qianyuan has been in show business for 17 years, finally making a name for himself by picking up the Best Actor at the 23rd Tokyo International Film Festival, by virtue of the film "Piano in a Factory", becoming the fourth Chinese actor to be crowned Best Actor, following Zhang Yimou, Niu Zhenhua and Zhu Xu in Tokyo.

Successively, he received the Best Actor Award at the 14th Shanghai International Film Festival and the 8th CCTV6 Media Award. Besides; he was also nominated as Best Actor at the Beijing University Film Festival and the 48th Golden Horse Award.

At this year's Golden Rooster Award, he has been finally listed for Best Actor, making it possible for him to get on the highest podium for Chinese films.

Wang Qianyuan revealed that although he received multiple awards due to the virtues of the film "Piano in a Factory", he just took it as a summary of his artistic visions. Moreover, he doesn't think his performance in "Piano in a Factory" was his best ever, and he hopes the audiences can get to know him and his works via other channels.
