Duan Yihong to attend BIFF

Duan Yihong, a Chinese actor who recently shot to stardom is increasingly popular with Chinese people.

He is active and productive on the sliver screen by acting in different genres of films and cooperating with other accomplished actors.

At the beginning of 2012, two films he starred in placed him in the limelight more often than ever before.

One film is the urban romance "I Do," in which he co-stars with actress Ling Bingbing and actor Sun Honglei. At present, he is carrying out numerous promotional activities to prepare for the film's release on February 10, 2012, the Valentine's Day slot.

The other film is "White Deer Plain" directed by Wang Quan'an and featuring an accomplished cast. The film has been short listed as the only Chinese film in the main competition section of 62nd Berlin International Film Festival to vie for the coveted Golden Bear award.

"White Deer Plain" was adapted from a classic Chinese novel of the same name, which depicts the lives of Shaanxi locals. It has been praised for its complicated character portrayals.

It is revealed by qq.com that Duan will attend the the Berlin International Film Festival (BIFF), this February in Germany.
