The premiere ceremony for the drama "Because of Love" was held at 751 Fashion Square in Beijing's 798 Art Zone on Monday, Sina Entertainment reports.

Renowned Chinese musicians Liu Huan and Song Ke attended the event.

Director Xiao Ke, a famous musician from Beijing, provides audience with a new form of drama which he refers to as "Xiao Ke drama", featuring a combination of popular music and modern stories. This new form speeds up the narrative rhythm in accordance with modern tastes, and avoids the shortcomings of Chinese songs when they attempt to express complex stories.

His drama aims to decode the real life of young artists in Beijing and explore their dilemma between the ideal and the reality. The film tells the story of a couple who decide to separate for six months after maintaining a two-year marriage of boredom. During their six month separation period, the couple has to face a great deal of temptation and is constantly put to the test.

As a musician, Xiao Ke felt it important that musical improvisation should be a major element within the drama, with the mobile ringtones of characters even being simulated by violinists.

The drama will be released in Beijing on April 20.
