Animated film "McDull Pork of Music" opened on the Chinese mainland on Tuesday, July 10.

McDull started as a lovable Hong Kong comic book character created by Alice Mak.

He is a pig with a heart of gold but isn't very smart and gets himself into all sorts of trouble.

Mak says she hopes audiences will be touched and warmed by the movie.

Hong Kong actor Anthony Wong and actress Sandra Ng dubbed voices for the movie.

Mainland singer Xu Fei also dubbed a character as well as singing the film's theme song.
