Co-directors Tom Tykwer, and Lana and Andy Wachowski were in Beijing on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 for the local premiere of their latest sci-fi film "Cloud Atlas".

Starring Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving and Chinese actress Zhou Xun, the movie is based on the 2004 novel of the same title by David Mitchell.

Mitchell is reportedly very satisfied with the film adaptation, which tells six interrelated stories jumping between the 19th century and the future.

Zhou Xun, who joins Hollywood stars in the film, says she does not feel much pressure except the language barrier, "We have language trainings before the actual shooting. But my English is not fluent enough; sometimes it was hard for me to understand what the directors want. But I don't feel too much pressure, I love their films, all I need is an interpreter."

Dreams of Dragon Pictures, the film's Chinese distributor invested over 10 million U.S. dollars in the project, accounting for the second biggest overseas investment.

"Cloud Atlas" has opened internationally in October and is set to hit Chinese cinemas on January 31.
