Luc Besson to attend Beijing film festival

Famous French director Luc Besson will attend the Chinese and Foreign Movies Cooperation Forum at the Beijing International Film Festival (BJIFF) on April 21, according to the event’s organization committee.

Luc Besson is a French film director, writer, actor and producer. His most famous works include Subway, Nikita and Léon. In addtion, he wrote plays for more than 20 movies, including Taxi and the series Taken.

The forum will invite well-known filmmakers from home and abroad to analyze film cooperation between China and foreign countries, as well as promote Chinese film talents and resources, in order to promote Chinese films overseas.

The Beijing International Film Festival will be held from April 16 - 23. 15 movies will participate in the competition, including the two Chinese films 1942 and Feng Shui.
