China children's theater festival to open

"The Third China Children's Theater Festival" held by the China Children's Art Theater (CCAT) is due to kick off in Beijing on July 20 this month. This will be the third year that Beijing has hosted the festival.

According to details released during a press conference held by CCAT, the event will last from July 12 until August 28.

The theme of this year's event is "Enlightening Kids' Hearts, Molding Kids' Futures; Casting Chinese Dreams Together." Forty six sets of splendid children's drama will be exhibited during the festival and 216 performances are scheduled to take place in total. Around 160,000 people are expected to attend the performances.

Thirteen artistic groups from 7 countries and regions including Turkey, Germany, the U.S., Argentina, Finland and a number of others will participate in the festival.
