Hong Kong-based Chinese actress Carina Lau was invited to attend a grand masked ball at Lancaster House in the West End of London on Wednesday night to raise money for the Elephant Family. The family is a charity co-founded by the Duchess of Cornwall's brother, conservationist and writer Mark Shand.
Other guests included Prince Charles and Camilla, and supermodel-of-the-moment Cara Delevingne.
Since its launch in 2002, the charity has invested more than $600,000 in conservation projects across Asia, working to secure elephant and wildlife habitats and highlight the animals' situation.
Guests and performers arrive at Clarence House ahead of the party.
