The first Chinese 3D animation film "Boonie Bears" (Chinese name: Xiong Chumo) is to hit mainland screens before the month is out.

The story centres around the theme of protecting "treasure." It shows a group of foes who become friends as they embark on a quest to win back lost treasure.
"Boonie Bears" is a cartoon on China Central Television. Its main characters include a lumber jack called Logger Vick and two bears named Briar and Bramble. The stories are set in a forest where the two bears try to stop Vick from cutting down trees.
The show was first shown in February 2012 and has become the most popular children's show in China.
