The 'Blue Jasmine' star, who is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama, at the Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles on January 12, admits she usually gets a few jitters before walking the red carpet but tries to focus on the bigger picture.
The 44-year-old Australian actress told EOnline.com: "It could be nerve wracking having that many pictures taken of like your nasal hair. But look, in the end, it's a celebration of performances in film and television and that's what you have to remind yourself."
Cate is up against Sandra Bullock, Kate Winslet, Judi Dench and Emma Thompson at the ceremony in the Beverly Hilton Hotel but the fashion savvy actress isn't worried about what dress to wear and even joked she thought about recycling something before she found her dream dress in a "minute and a half."
She said: "It's pretty. When else do you get to be a debutante?...When else do get to do that? It's a fantastic thing."
