Zhang Jingchu challenges herself in 'The Old Cinderella'

Chinese film "The Old Cinderella," starring Zhang Jingchu, has premiered in Beijing on Tuesday. Set producer Lu Chuan said that Zhang was persistent and dedicated to her work.

In the film, Zhang plays Xu Ke, a woman who get a divorce and reclaims her independence. After her divorce, Xu finds herself in a series of peculiar situations. She is involved in a love triangle and, when she gets into a fight with another woman, throws the girl into a pool. Zhang Jingchu found her role extremely challenging, as she is accustomed to appearing in more artistic or intellectual pictures.
The film premiere was attended by film director Wu Bai and stars Pan Yueming, Kenji Wu, BAn Jiajia and Zhu zhu. "The Old Cinderella" will hit Chinese screens on March 7th.
