The film stars Aaron Paul, famous for playing the role of Jesse in the popular television series "Breaking Bad," alongside Dominic Cooper and Imogen Poots. The film is helmed by Scott Waugh.

Adapted from the video game series, the film tells the story of muscle car mechanic and street racer Tobey, portrayed by Aaron Paul, who is determined to settle the score with the man responsible for his false conviction after he is released from prison.

Famous racing cars such as the Ford Mustang, and the Lamborghini Sesto Elemento are featured in the film. The film includes plenty of scenes of Tobey driving a Ford Mustang from New York to California at an unbelievably fast speed in order to reach a race meeting within 49 hours. A number of cityscapes are showcased in the film. Meanwhile, the 3D version of the film is set to hit Chinese IMAX screens. Film critics who have seen it have noted that the high speed races alongside the realistic sound effects makes for a pleasant viewing experience.
