Taiwan actress Joe Chen steps away from her idol drama-queen persona and plays a fiery teacher in the upcoming movie, "Breaking the Waves" (JI LANG QING CHUN). In the film, her character trains students on how to properly row and maneuver dragon boats.

Chinese actors Huang Xiaoming and Huang Xuan, and Hong Kong actor Eric Tsang also act in the film.
Chen rose to fame for her role in the TV program, "The Prince Who Turns Into a Frog," (WANG ZI BIAN QING WA) in 2005.
"Breaking the Waves" comes to Chinese theaters in June of this year.
