About the film:

In 1949, a large passenger ship called the Taiping set off from Shanghai but sank before arriving in Taiwan, killing nearly 1,000 people. Based on a true story, "The Crossing" follows the journey of three diverse couples affected by the tide of history that followed the disaster.
