Besides his relations of these important figures, Li also mentioned his romantic story with his wife Zhu Lin in the book.
The couple first met each other in 1957 at a party held to entertain some experts from the former Soviet Union in the city of Jilin, northeast of China's Jilin Province.
Li was impressed by Zhu's excellent translation and pronunciation for the mayor. He toasted Zhu at the reception dinner and invited her to dance twice.
The two met a few times later and fell in love. They got married in 1958 and celebrated their golden marriage anniversary in 2008.
The couple always wrote letters to each others when Li was out for business trip after their marriage.
They had been calling each other "Big Peng" and "Big Lin" as nicknames exclusively for them.
In order to improve Zhu's health condition, Li also learned massage secretly to help cure Zhu's insomnia.
"I feel very happy to find a soul mate like Zhu," said the former premier.
In this book, Li also talked about making a pair of sofa by himself to get more shoulder exercises after he got injured in a car accident in 1974.
Since this self-biography just covered his stories until the year of 1983, Li wrote in the preface: "I will continue to write my stories between 1983 and now, including my work stories in the central committee of Chinese Communist Party, the State Council, and the National People's Congress together with my retire life."
"I'll try my best although the writing will get harder." Li added.
