The short movie "Dream Escape" starring famous Chinese singer and actress Zhou Xun and her husband, American actor Archie Kao, is set to open in theaters on March 13.
The movie was filmed in Los Angeles and directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, the director of "House of Wax" and "Non-Stop."
The couple held their surprise wedding ceremony at a charity event on July 16 last year in Hangzhou. The movie is the first in which they have co-starred since their marriage.
Zhou, who prefers to keep a low profile, first disclosed the identity of her then boyfriend in her microblog on May 8, 2014. "This is Archie. Please take care of [him]," she wrote. Kao is a Chinese-American Hollywood actor.
Born in 1974, the 41-year-old actress has won a great number of awards, including Best Actress at the Hong Kong Film Awards, Golden Horse Awards, Golden Rooster Awards, Hundred Flowers Awards and Asian Film Awards.
