National art museum exhibits Huang A'zhong paintings

An exhibition that displays artist Huang Azhong's paintings opened to the public on Wednesday at the National Art Museum of China (NAMOC) in Beijing.

The exhibition is Huang's first solo show in Beijing. It will showcase over 160 oil paintings and Chinese traditional painting works.

Huang is a professor of the College of Arts of Shanghai University, who, besides teaching, also devotes himself to painting.

In the past decades, he has made in-depth study of still life, oil paintings of landscapes and has formed his own unique painting style. Huang has also been studying and practicing Chinese traditional paintings and his paintings of lotus flowers are quite eye-catching.

The exhibition will run until June 15.
