Chinese actor Hu Ge has received the "Asian Special Contribution Award" at the tenth anniversary of the "Asian TV Drama Conference" in Japan for two of his TV dramas "Inspiration in Life" in 2014, and "Good Time" in 2015.
Hu Ge delivered his acceptance speech in English.
"First of all, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to ATDC for the recognition and encouragement to me. That achievement cannot be achieved without a wonderful script and a strong production team."
The award is voted for by Asia's top producers and screenwriters. It's the first time the Asian TV Drama Conference has issued this particular award to an individual.
Hu Ge was best known for playing Li Xiaoyao in hit television series "Chinese Paladin."
He has embarked on a number of television projects, most of which had a wuxia - or chivalry - theme.
While most recently, his breakthrough role of Lin Shu in the drama "Nirvana in Fire" has been as a tremendous success in his acting career.
The drama has gone viral through Chinese social networking platforms such as wechat and weibo.
The successive airing of "Disguiser" "Nirvana in Fire" and "Good Time" featuring the actor on several Chinese satellite TV channels has continued to keep him in the public spotlight.
