Music stars gather at V-Chart Awards

Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber won best female singer (Europe and America) and best male singer (Europe and America) respectively while Maroon 5 won the best music group (Europe and America), though they didn't show up for the ceremony.

The awards were given to top artists worldwide who released videos during Jan. 1 - Dec. 31, 2015, which were ranked in the top 100 at Yinyuetai.com, the award organizer and a top Chinese high-quality video streaming site. The voting committee will also decide an award winner based on the qualities of artists' musical works, the performance, and other achievements in other aspects such as films, fan events and TV shows, in addition to the music video ranks.

Yinyuetai.com has been trying to make the V-Chart Awards more important and definitive by forming a cooperative relationship with heavyweight collaborators including America's Billboard Magazine, Billboard Radio China, South Korea's Gaon Chart and Tokyo FM radio.
