Hongluo Temple Fair
Venue: Hongluo Temple, Huairou District, Beijing

The Hongluo Temple Fair is one of the few fairs in Beijing held at a still functioning temple, and many people undertake the pilgrimage every year to enjoy the temple's profound sense of Buddhist culture and the scenic splendor of its classical buildings. During Spring Festival, the abbot holds prayer meetings and gives benedictions to the visitors. For the more secular-minded visitors, there are folk dances and acrobatics to attend. Traditional games are present as well, such as hitting the copper coin hole. Beijing's traditional snacks are, of course, a key feature. Visitors can also visit painting, calligraphy and photography exhibitions.
