Xie Yuan began to work in 1985. He has served as the Deputy Chief, Chief of the Department of American and Oceanian Affairs, the First Secretary of the Chinese Embassy in the US, and the Deputy Director, Director of the Department of American and Oceanian Affairs of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. He is currently the Vice-President and Member of Party Committee of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.
