Wang Mingming is currently the member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC, consultant of the State Council, Vice-Chairman of China Artists Association, Chairman of Beijing Artists Association, Vice-Chairman of Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Dean of Beijing Fine Art Academy, and an expert enjoying the State Council Special Allowance.
He showed great passion for painting since the childhood when his works were exhibited in more than 30 countries and were awarded the special prize and first prize of World Children's Painting Contest. In 1970s, Wang Mingming took a long and hard learning, and questioned to many famous artists, such as Wu Zuoren, Li Kuchan, Jiang Zhaohe, Liu Lingcang, Lu Chen, Zhou Sicong, and Yao Youduo, which helped him lay a solid foundation of painting.
His works have been displayed many times at the national art exhibition. He used to hold many personal exhibitions and lectures in Beijing, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Canada, etc. and has published a variety of personal art collections.
