China's northern Tianjin-based economical passenger carmaker Tianjin FAW Xiali Automobile Co., Ltd. saw its sales volume in October rise 10 percent year on year to 16,080 units.
The automaker produced 17,600 units of vehicles last month, a 13 percent increase from the previous year, the company said in a statement to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange Tuesday.
Combined vehicle sales volume in China jumped 72 percent in October to 1.22 million units from a year earlier, after gaining 78 percent in September, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said.
Robust domestic sales have been spurred by the government's tax cut and subsidy measures meant to stimulate consumption and encourage purchase of more fuel-efficient vehicles.
