Miaojian Info and CE.cn have jointly launched Miaojian Corporate Media Exposure Index to their latest offering in media measurement of publicity in Beijing. In the initially released "Overall Media Exposure Index of Automotive Industry and Automotive Manufacturers for December 2009", Geely, FAW-VW, Ford and Volvo get the highest rating, respectively, in homegrown brands, joint venture brands, foreign brands and premium brands. The rankings as followed:

 

Miaojian Corporate Media Exposure Index is calculated with applications of internationally practiced value evaluation model and scientifically mathematical model on the basis of monitoring results of nationwide media scope (1,560 prints, 1,000 plus online and 66 broadcasts) and analyses of critical factors influencing media exposure.

Miaojian Corporate Media Exposure Index is produced to provide a measurement capable of reflecting media exposure of an enterprise or a brand in news coverage in a more accurate and comprehensive manner. The measurement indicates media attention to an enterprise or a brand in a given time, namely, activeness of an enterprise or a brand in media coverage in a given time. The Index can help enterprises gain a clear picture of their corporate publicity in the mass media in the given time and thus provide a scientific and impartial metric for evaluating returns on investments in media publicity.

Miaojian Info and CE.cn reportedly plan to release media exposure index for other industries in the near future.

Overall Media Exposure Index refers to an integrated media exposure value of an enterprise or a brand in print, broadcast and online media in a given time. During the period, the highest exposure is scaled 100 and rated the first, and other ratings are scaled percentage of the first rating.

 

Print Media Exposure Index refers to a media exposure value of an enterprise or a brand in print media in a given time. During the period, the highest exposure is scaled 100 and rated the first, and other ratings are scaled percentage of the first rating.

 

Broadcast Media Exposure Index refers to a media exposure value of an enterprise or a brand in print media in a given time. During the period, the highest exposure is scaled 100 and rated the first, and other ratings are scaled percentage of the first rating.

 

Online Media Exposure Index refers to a media exposure value of an enterprise or a brand in print media in a given time. During the period, the highest exposure is scaled 100 and rated the first, and other ratings are scaled percentage of the first rating.
