Baosteel plans steel price rise

Baoshan Iron and Steel Co, China's largest steel maker, said it will increase steel plate prices for May after iron ore prices climbed.

The price for cold-rolled products will rise by 200 yuan (US$29) a metric ton while the hot-rolled plates price is unchanged.

Electric steel products will rise by 600 yuan a metric ton while prices for thick steel plates will increase 500 yuan a ton.
