Chinese equities edged up 1.96 percent in the morning session on Monday, after the central bank said Sunday it would end its crisis-mode exchange rate policy and gear the regime back onto a normal track.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index added 49.13 points to 2,562.36 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index was up 2.04 percent to end at 10,169.43 points.
