China to sell US$2.95 bln book-entry T-bonds

China's Ministry of Finance (MOF) said Friday it would issue 20 billion yuan (2.95 billion U.S. dollars) of book-entry discount treasury bonds from Monday.

The issue price of the discount bonds will be 99.059 yuan, and they will have a term of 182 days.

The bonds will be issued from July 12 to July 14 and will become tradable on inter-bank and securities bond market from July 16.

A discount bond is a bond issued at less than par value that redeems at par value.
