Chinese shares close slightly higher at midday Monday

Chinese equities close slightly higher at midday Monday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.28 point, or 0.01 percent, to finish the morning session at 2,658.67.

The Shenzhen Component Index rose 0.11 percent to end at 10,955.25 at midday.
