General Motors (GM) on Thursday announced that it is recalling about 109,000 vehicles due to concerns of the passenger air bag failing to deploy.
The company said in a statement that the recalling covers Cadillac CTS models from the 2005-2007 model years, adding that there are no known injuries or fatalities related to this condition.
GM said that a kink, bend or fold in the front passenger presence system mat could lead to the passenger air bag failing to deploy, which could result in increased injury for the occupant.
Dealers will replace the passenger presence system in affected vehicles at no charge to the customer.
