Japanese automaker Subaru will recall 36,728 vehicles imported to China due to faulty front windshield wipers, China's quality watchdog said Monday.
The recall, effective as of September 28, includes Legacy and Outback models produced between November 4, 2009 and May 17, 2011, the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Quarantine said in a statement on its website.
The statement said Subaru China will offer free replacement parts for front windshield wipers to eliminate risks.
