As the world’s biggest search engine and provider of countless other online services, Google opened a virtual window into its secretive data centers where a gigantic quantity of computers process Internet search requests.

The unprecedented peek is being provided through a new Web site unveiled Wednesday at http://www.google.com/about/datacenters/gallery/#/. Here you can find many stunning photographs, vast arrays of server racks, thousands of feet of colorful pipes in the cooling systems, and miles and miles of ethernet cables.
