Ryanair handed Boeing its largest European order yesterday with a deal worth US$16 billion at list prices to buy 175 passenger jets, boosting the US plane maker and underlining the Irish airline's domination of Europe's low-cost market.
The deal also took the sting away from Boeing's loss of a big order on Monday, when Indonesia's Lion Air gave Boeing rival Airbus an order for more than 200 single-aisle planes.
