Both are dropouts
Jobs dropped out of Reed College in Portland, Oregon after six months. He then spent the next 18 months dropping in on creative classes while sleeping on the floor in friends' dorm rooms.
Elon Musk attended Queen's University in Canada, and transferred to the University of Pennsylvania, where he gained two bachelor's degrees, in economics and physics. He was admitted to Stanford University in California, with the intention of earning a PhD in energy physics, however after just two days of classes he dropped out to start his first company.
