Abstract
It seems that in general, the regional integration and expansion of transit and transport corridors, cooperation in the field of energy, management of water resources and environment as well as economic and cultural cooperation help to pave the way for more understanding, peace and stability in the Asian region. Regionalism should be noted, considered and also embraced as the cornerstone of any activities. Improving the economic situation in the region could reduce political and security challenges and provide better conditions. Strengthening the economic condition appears to increase the level of the region's independence and deprive non-regional powers of interference in Asia. The Old Silk Road from China to the West was an ancient trade route and a typical sample of regional cooperation two thousand years ago, that today can be modified and considered as a sophisticated base for interaction and friendship in the region.
