Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, polices about deepening reform of the country's economic system have been enacted gradually. Opening a window of China to the west, the Silk Road Economic Belt initiative serves guidance for Xinjiang's development. How should Xinjiang utilize its cultural advantages to promote exchange of diverse cultures along the Silk Road? From the perspective of history, culture and reality, this paper analyzes the value and contribution of Xinjiang's cultural advantage to the promotion of international cultural exchanges.
