"One important condition to carry out the initiative (of building the Silk Road Economic Belt) is that though China opens to world, we need a Europe that is open to China. In my view, Europe is not open enough to China,"former Hungary Ambassador to China OttóJuhász told China.org.cn on the sidelines of the Silk Road Economic Belt International Seminar held in Urumqi, capital city of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region on June 26.

"I think (the Silk Road Economic Belt) is a great initiative. It shows that China decides to continue its path of peaceful development," Juhász said.

"The blueprint sends a signal to China's neighboring countries and even the entire world that a new world order should be based on cooperation, and that all international issues should be resolved through negotiations. The policy of encirclement will not resolve any issue, but trigger new conflicts. Therefore China's new initiative is important,"the former ambassador adds.
