Alibaba's chairman and founder, Jack Ma Yun, just became the richest man in China after his company went public in the world's largest ever initial public offering, which inflated Ma's personal fortune to US$25 billion, according to the Hurun Chinese Mainland Rich List.

At the same time, 27 partners at the top level of the Alibaba pyramid all became multi-millionaires due to the shares they hold. Of these, nine are women.
